WHO WE ARE
BLOOMS ACADEMY is an independent co-educational Nigerian-British curriculum school. It is designed to be one of the most Prestigious International Schools in Nigeria. The Academy is guided by Christian ethos. Presently,we cater to a population of approximately 500 pupils and students ranging from the ages of 3 months to 16 years old through various schools and programs including a Crèche, Preschool, Primary and Secondary.
We have earned an enviable reputation for providing a World first class education and excellent pastoral care for every child; instilling traditional core values such as integrity, industrious and disciplined life.We have put-in place highly qualified and experienced staff at both the Administrative and Academic levels. We provide the best elements of International Education within a traditional Nigerian framework deeply rooted on global education practices. Our purpose is to promote the full development of every child by providing a secure, professional and caring learning environment in which each student is encouraged to develop to his/her individual potential.
We prepare young people for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adulthood. We offer a holistic, broad, stimulating and balanced curriculum (Nigerian, British and American) that enables students to develop academically,morally, spiritually, socially and physically. BLOOMS ACADEMY is located at the Prestigious Sun City Estate, which is at heart of Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. A serene and highly secured area with beautiful surroundings and facilities that are conducive for learning.The over-riding goal is to create a conducive environment for our students to function effectively as global citizens in the twenty-first century and beyond. Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
The Early Years section at Blooms Academy combines the British Early Years Foundation curriculum with that of Nigeria. Areas of learning covered at the Early Years stage are:

Primary Section (Years 1- 6)
Our Primary school curriculum is based on the English National curriculum and international primary curriculum (IPC) blended with that of Nigeria to suit our local circumstances. This integrated curriculum ensures that the children get the best education program that prepares them to be global citizens who are ready and ripe for smooth transition to secondary education obtainable in any country of the world.
At the end of primary education, our Year 6 pupils write the following Examinations:
(i) Primary Checkpoint Examination of the Cambridge International Examinations (C.I.E)
(ii) Nigerian First School Leaving Certificate examination (F.S.L.C)
(iii) Entrance Examinations into top Secondary schools

Junior Secondary Section (Years 7 – 9)
The Junior Secondary section offers a Qualitative Education to students delivered in a state of the art learning environment designed to ensure their academic transition to the Senior Secondary Education. We run both Nigerian and British Curriculum. It offers a wide variety of academic subjects taught by dedicate and professional staff.
At the end of the Junior Secondary Education, our grade 9 Students write the following examinations.
i. Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) by National Examinations Council (N.E.C.O).

ii. Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) by the Federal Capital Territory Education Resource Centre (E.R.C)

iii. Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint Examination by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (C.I.E).

• Senior school Certificate Examination (S.S.C.E) Examined by the National Examinations Council (N.E.C.O).
• International General Certificate of Secondary Education (I.G.C.S.E) examined byUniversity of Cambridge International Examination (C.I.E).
• Unified Matriculation Examination (U.T.M.E) Examined by Joint Examinations and Matriculation Board (J.A.M.B).
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D) Awarded by Ontario Ministry of Education, Canada
• Other examination includes TOEL, IELTS, PTE, Edexcel & SAT.
